"Seen some good numbers down at our place" was what my buddy had texted me two days ago after he ran the lease.
Haven't been down there in a few weeks. Probably gonna go youth weekend to touch blinds up and see

Saw a bunch a few days leading up to the front last week. Not holding any yet though. The farmer is gonna be another two weeks before he has the second crop off of the new property. So looks like I won't have my new pit in for the opener. We holding a couple hundred teal on the crawfish ponds though.

We never see a whole lot of ducks until opening weekend at our place. So we aren't too worried about it yet

Good cover on the blind, that looks like Lacassine, Thick, thick, thick.
Do you have any water around that blind?
For geese and even for doves I like to see some dirt.

Been seeing a good amount of birds here and there in south Lake Charles. Going to Grand Chenier this weekend, put it off this past weekend but seen a bunch of mallards land right off the ship channel yesterday morning.
