Hello everyone. I will be visiting Long Beach Ms area occasionally, nexttrip is second week of Sept. I am interested in doing some surf fishing in the area. I am from Texas and we fish from the surf via vehicle. Is there access by vehicle to any beaches in Ms for surf fishing. Better yet is there surf fishing in Ms? This will be my first visit. I am open to kayak fishing also. Thanks for your help.

I'm 98% sure that you cant drive a vehicle on a beach anywheres along the MS Gulf Coast. Second week of Sept is getting into some prime flounder gigging time, you may look into that. As far as surf fishing it's not very good from what my buddy tells me (he has a camp in Bay St Louis) If you want to Kayak fish there is some real nice Marsh area around the bayou Caddy area which is where the Silver Slipper Casino is. If youre into Fresh/Brackish water fishing the Wolf and Jordan Rivers have some decent fishing.

Good Luck and Welcome to Salty Cajun.

I 2nd what snorkler said. They also have a nice fishing pier in Biloxi you can drive a vehicle on, its toward the east side of Biloxi heading to Ocean Springs.
