All that water coming out of a down spout can cause some erosion.......have a plan to keep this from happening.

Get the screens that cover them since the new place is surrounded by trees. I'm assuming this is for the new place.

Just had these installed at a house I'm building ImageUploadedByTapatalk1440103376.877017.jpg
1/2 round copper gutters , haven't installed the copper down spouts yet because I'm afraid they will "walk" off There are 2 kinds , K style or 1/2 round . 1/2 round cost more but look better imo . I would def suggest tying into sub surface drainage that is sized properly to handle the volume Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

There are 1/2 round aluminum also that can be painted to simulate aged copper. Might be in your budget.

My best advice: Don't install gutters unless you have to. Eventually they fill with all kinds of trash, which must be cleaned and also cause the fascia to rot.

23/ ft ( 4700/ 200') is less than I'm paying for those . As someone stated above you can get 1/2 round alum that come in colors that look like copper when it's aged a few years |

x1000, I have $1000 in gutters and $5000 in damaged soffit and fascia as a result. Only install where necessary ie at the front and back doors. You are better off putting rocks in the dripline of landscaping to prevent erosion. They are a hassle to maintain even if you do not have trees. |

Gutters around trees have to be maintained. Or as stated you will have other issues. They are a pain

Gutters are necessary to protect your landscaping, but I would not spend the money for copper - who does that? , just go with aluminum

I DO NOT LIKE GUTTERS!
BUT I have to have them. I have a FULL size basement, and ALOT of water coming off the front of my house. I need to keep the water away from my basement walls. My walls are 12 ft tall, 10ft of them are under ground, so my basement goes pretty deep, Thus in addition to the gutter I already have one French drain installed at the base of the wall, Im installing another right in front of the house. |

Wow thats an awesome cabin ! The K style would probably carry a larger volume of water. You can always get the color to match your drip edge of your roof which looks good. With anything like this they have to be maintained. I inspect and clean mine quarterly.
