Three combined trips recently in the Bay. Made a solo run last Sat, Dec 6th to find the fish, it was foggy, but they were hungry, all on Artificial and cheap popping cork. I was limited at 8:52am, played catch and release after hunting for some red fish, total fish was about 45, but kept only 25. Tried slow roll on the bottom and nothing. So I took off work Dec 12th, made a run with wife, and we found a few, almost got that limit but she struggled keeping that fishing pole up, she likes to point the tip at the fish, when they would start that head shake, they would come off, and we dropped several slinging them over the side, (too lazy to get the net) The big red was a nice bonus, he moved into our trout hole which was giving up a trout every cast, then that bite was over, but he lives to fight another day! Then, thinking the bite was going to be hot, we made another run yesterday, to find fish every cast till the Sun started to get up, and then it went cold, so called it a day home before 11:00am.
Three trip total gave up, 86 trout, which only one throw back, several 18~20 inch fish.
Good times, hope it stays warm, the bite should continue!
