Default Picked up a new boat

I picked up a 21' kenner with a mercury 150 EFI saltwater series motor last week. I went an ran it yesterday and realized it needs a set of cables. Who keeps throttle/shift cables in stock for mercury controls anywhere from lafayette to lake charles. Thanks for the help.

Prop shop, redmonds marine, gulf coast boats in lafayette. One of them should have them in stock. If you can find the part number on the cable that would make it much easier to determine the length and whatnot.

I may give prop shop a call, this is the boat you an I spoke about a couple weeks back montauk, motor runs great..only thing I noticed is the pisser cuts in and out, checked everything out, no trash at the foot or anything like that. Im wondering if the tube up to the powerhead could have trash in it or the thermostats?? Not sure about this its very puzzeling, the lil guy I bought it from said he just had the waterpump replaced. I did call jerrys marine awhile ago and he has the cables and a whole new shifter control instock, as im thinking of changing it out also cuz its got a lil slack in it..

All the 2.5 merc's piss like that....they have a high temp thermostat and will only piss once it reaches that temp. If the thermostats have never been changed I would change them for sure.

Yeah they all do....alot of the time you can see steam coming off the water. You can take the thermostats out on a carb model, but not the EFI.

The Prop Shop fixed my Verado last year and was able to get some of the work covered by warranty. This was after the boat spent over a month at Jerry's and being charged over $300 just to tell me there was nothing wrong with it. I know where I will be taking my business.

Just got done putting in the cables, I also pulled apart the shifter control, cleaned and greased it up real well but I believe I will get a new one cuz it still drags a good bit. Just didnt feel like dropping the 300$$ on it today and it was just the cable, also got some new motor decals on the way. I believe it will make a good boat especially for the price I got it for..It was very dirty and stained up thesed pics are after two days of wet sanding and buffing on the hull.
