Hairout minn kota blows

that was the first time ever since then i bring it somewhere they replace the bushings or whatever you call it the piece in the back of the motor that that sends the juice to the motor ( it keeps melting) dhp worked on it 3 times (warranty) when that ran out i went to lake charles tackle. they did the same thing. it works about 2 times and melts it again. Now i'm paying for this $50 part every 2 times i go fishing. I called minn kota and poped a wheelie on them...no help......anyway just want to vent and tell yall how bad minn kota blows



oh its back at lake charles tackle to be fixed broke again today

24 it is a lemon but minn kota should make it right..... That is my only complaint. I'm in buisness and when something goes wrong I make it wright

I agree as well, they should make it right.
I would keep calling them everyday until they get tired hearing from me.
Find out who the regional factory rep is, maybe he could get some action out of the factory.

don't have the reciepts. they should have a record of the work. I will get back on the phone come monday and try to get them to do something......DHP is the only one that does warranty on minn kota and they have been rubbing me the wrong way so i brought it to lake charles tackle. DHP everytime i go they aren't there and they just kept saying it was defective brushes i mean come on 3 defective ones in a row....I am far from a rocket scientist but i think there is something else wrong causing this.... I wouldn't be so mad but that is an hour from my house and it gets old everytime i go fishing it breaks and i got to make 2 more trips during the work week when i am working.

When you get that POS workin'.....sell it and get a MotorGuide.

See if it'll sell in the classifieds here.

they sent me a email today this is what it said

That sure doesn't sound good, I would suggest you send it to the factory with any records of prior repairs. They will want to check it out and get back to you.

i talked to craig at lake charles tackle he told me i should just send it to them. that they would probly just send me a new one back.... the lady i just talked to at minn kota said they would tell me something within 5 days from them getting it. I'm shipping it out tom.

Last year I was fishing with a buddy at big lake and his minnkota had a bad connection in the trolling motor. He had just got it back from Lake Charles Tackle the week before for the same problem. He drove from Bunkie to Lake Charles the following Monday and demanded a new trolling motor as his was under warranty still and they gave him one. Be persistent and dont take no for an answer.
