Nice catch. I'm heading out to the West side of V-Bay in the am. Hopefully the wind forcast is right.

Water in the canals and weeks bay was good. it is sheltered so it stays cleaner than the rest of the bay.
we caught a bunch of croakers as well. Also caught 1 11" trout. i tried a a variety of different lures but couldn't coax another one. So went back to shrimp under a cork. |

Fished the west side yesterday morning out of ICY. Started at the weir in Hog Bayou to get shelter from the wind. One 11" speck in my cast net and two dozen crabs; tried dead shrimp and gulp sprayed DOAs under a cork... nothing but a gafftop. Came out and fished the bank from Redfish point toward Fearman... nothing. Called it a day and headed home to boil the crabs.
