Default Catfish Tonight

A good morning. Dropped the jugs at 7:30 and by 9 had enough.
Between Myers and Hitler's.

First of all, the wife sets the alarm for 4:30 am, then she gets me up and makes me a cup of Cappuccino and then she gets the ice ready from the freezer, while I go and hook up the boat. Then she loads up the ice chest with the ice, bait and snacks. Then we make sure everything is in the boat, then we drive to Lowery. First secret is to launch at Myers, because the old people at Garys are to hateful, mean and grouchy and the fish seems to know it and keeps away from the boat.(Inside joke because of I can't stand they ole A holes). After we launch at Myers, make sure you park trailer in designated area, then take off and go around first bend and have an experience MasterBaiter with you, who will bait the jug lines with Beef heart and start throwing jugs at random. When jugs stand up to attention, pick them up and put in ice chest. Start around 6:30 and yesterday by 9:00 had full ice chest and wife said no more. Then drive back to dock and dock boat and go to Johnny's in Gueydan and eat a good lunch and drive back to Lafayette and start cleaning them. Just joking.

I don't know what else to say other than, I use noodles set at 18-24 inches and have beef heart as bait using circle hooks. The noodles have 14 inch PVC pipe in the center of them, but the noodle itself is only about 8 inch long.

Where do you go at that is around the corner? Hope it isn't at Gary's Landing, because that might be a problem that you are having. Since most people don't like them, maybe the fish is also not wanting to go back to that pitful landing and have to listen to Hitler fuss at them.

Thats an awesome post. Glad to see your catching. I usually put in at Gary's and run to the intracoastal and fish around there. Looks like I go too far for no reason when you catching them right at the launch! I love that area though, even if I don't catch any fish its awesome scenery.

You ever tried that canal that goes to Klondike?

Yea, we go between Myers and Hitlers and have enough. No I never fished the canal to Klondike. In fact I never went in to it.
I think I might of seen you'll in the ICY earlier this year. If you'll were in a boat loaded down(lol) with fishing buddies it was you'll. I passed going to Lake Misere and there were jug lines every where in the Icy.

Oh yea, that Ole brawd is in a class of her own.

The next best thing for me is tomorrow when I go to and bring that fish to my uncle and his buddies. Like one told me, "It is kind of hard to refuse fish that is all clean, free and frozen in water in zip lock bags".
