Default Sabine limits!!

Limited out on sheepshead in about 2 hours last night. Fished reefs with dark colored tails. Fun trip, and some good eats.uploadfromtaptalk1434033712361.jpg

We texans don't want to overfish the resource. Conservation is the key to maintaining a balanced fishery.

There's a limit on everything in Texas, except government and CCA.

That's why the fishing is better over here. I'm not a cca fan. Quite the opposite. But there is no doubt, the sheep/lambhead bite is wayyy better on sabine than calcasieu. Prolly cuz of our oysters.

5 sheep/lambheads over 15" is the law here. Also why our fishery is superior.

We don't kill the big breeders either. I don't trophy fish for sheeps. Only table fare. Nothing more satisfying than watching a 22" trophy sheep swim away.
