my favorite places to eat with a budget in Lafayette are:

Office Hours on Pinhook, they have awesome hamburgers and I have yet to try a plate lunch but heard they were awesome.

Fat Pats on Verot, great food all around, and scenery is usually good

BJs Pizza on Congress, best pizza you can buy as far as I'm concerned and price is excellent

Chris's Poboy, great poboys

then you have downtown with many choices down there, Dwyers has awesome comfort food served in giant portions, for like $7 I think. Corner Station, is also good. That's about all I've explored since I've worked down here. T-Coons is pretty good, but usually packed

I hate Alesi's pizza. Also not a big fan of the Marie Leveaux from Deano's. But the Cajun Executioner and T Rex are good. Now that I live in "Upper Lafayette" though, Pizza Village is the only pizza I eat really.

If you like burgers Fat Pat's, Twin's, Pete's, and Judice Inn are pretty hard to beat.

Walk-On's really has some pretty good food too.

If I'm taking the wife on a date Tsunami, Phare's, Feezo's in Scott, Zea, Mazen Grill, and a few others.

If my daughter is choosing we are going to Izzo's or Texas Roadhouse.

If you go to Olde Tyme, rememeber they are the only frickin place in Lafayette that don't take credit cards!!! I used to forget everytime when I was in college.

Mazen Grill may be the best place to eat in town. Yo get what you pay for and i don't mind paying there!

It's "ok". I have been once and wasn't very impressed. Weird menu items. Reminds me of LaFonda. Mediocre food but the same "cool people" are always there. Always packed. If you are from Lafayette, you know who I'm talking about.

For sure. Seaweed salad, Don Tuna Toll, Green Monster Roll, John Breaux roll then finish it up with their 3 ice cream sampler (green tea ice cream is awesome) and you will have a hard time agreeing when you go eat sushi with your Friends at a place other than Tsunami that they claim to be "awesome"....

Lol no u right. That was a little dramatic. LaFonda sucks. But I really didn't enjoy my meal at Social. Maybe I should have tried something else.

Social sucks. Been 5 times, didn't like it but one time (didn't eat, just drank). Its like they try to hard to be different or something. The smoked pork plate had somr weird paste with a ball of pork fat on top. Thats it! I just paid 30 bucks for some fat........Oh, and their Old Fashions are absolutly horrible!! I live a few 100yrds from it, was really hoping for something good........nope!

They do a descent steak, and the kids pizza is the best thing on the menu
