Isn't the 25 Merc motor the one that the duck hunters go crazy over?

How much do they normally go for?

The merc 25 according to a lot of people was good in the marsh because the grass wouldn't hang on the foot as much. I never had one so I don't know personally. I had a lot of family that did and swore by them.

My first boat was a 14' alweld with a 25 merc electric start tiller....could not kill it ran it in no water straight mud and matted lillys. Gut the thermostat and let it flow. Wish I would have never sold it...

I treat my 40 Merc just like this! Thermostat was the first thing I did away with on it!

bar none,best motor mercury made. take out thermastat an roll where you want.

Put some stainless screens over the water pickup on the lower unit and you can run almost anywhere.
