Default Launching boats

Dude didn't want to block a tie up spot at the dock, so he blocked a launch spot at the ramp.

I wouldn't want to have to jump in the boat from way up there either.

I consider myself to be fairly young, 26, and it seems that even people older and one would think wiser than myself have zero boating manners!!

More likely he didn't want to walk from the tie up spot to the truck, then back to the tie up spot from the parking lot. Much closer to run your boat up on the ramp!

It's either leave your boat in the ramp and go get your truck or leave your truck in the ramp while you go get your boat! One way or the other you will piss somebody off!

This launch has a place to tie up your boat so you do not have to tie up the ramp. There is no excuse for leaving your boat on the ramp. If by yourself, yes, you have to leave truck on the ramp to go get your boat but no one will fret over that.

I know that. I always tie my boat up cause its the way I was taught and I have a fiberglass hull. It really pisses me of when people do that and decide to make a few phone calls or run into their buddy in the parking lot and BS for a few minutes while people are waiting!

Tuesday at Cal Point boat launch had know shortage of inconsiderate people. When we arrived to trailer the boat, the launch was busy with folks doing the same. For the most part each launch had a vehicle/trailer back down. Invariably several of those who trailered their boats and pulled out STOPPED in the concrete area. A person had to ask themselves do you not see the line of trucks and trailers waiting to pull around and back down? Even had one stop at the top of the lauch ramp to prep his boat after coming out of the water rendering that ramp useless until he decided move.
Had another bay boat occupy a ramp for an extended time due to not being able to accurately navigate the boat onto the trailer. I did extend a tip to this person. When you are trailering your bay boat trim your motor down for better control at low speed. This person had their motor trimmed way up causing the boat to wander all over. Did not know Cal Point water depth was so shallow to warrant trimming the motor way up...LOL

What gets me is that some people think you have to put the whole damn trailor in th water to pick up your boat. Then when they pull up the boat is not on right so they back down again and start over. You are supposed to drive your boat on the trailor.

Don't know if anyone else has ran into the guy at 210 launch that cuts everyone in line off but beware of him. Its an older guy in a s10, dude jumps in the front and cuts the whole dang line off. We're usually in the water when he gets there but have seen him do it more than once.

Lol. That guy is there everyday of the week. I guess he feels that being he is there so much he has the right to do whatever he wants.

Yeah he is, I guess that's what he thinks. That's why I usually pay my $3 and launch here in westlake, easy in easy out and less than a minute drive home.

That is something I keep telling many people. The worst ones I see down here are the Vietnamese. I tell them and show them but the next time trailor backed down to where the vehicle tires are in the water.

I launch by myself 9/10 but i leave early to beat the rush. If someone is behind me i let them go unless they are solo as it will take about the same amount of time. But even then mkst people are always willing to hold a rope to speed up the line so really there's no excuse. Same as loading if theres a line ill wait a bit

A few months ago I saw "workers" loading up some stuff in to a small boat at the Cal. Pt boat launch. They had an enclosed trailer in the middle ramp and stuff sitting over in the west ramp, so they were blocking 2 boat ramps.

I put my boat on the trailer and left and they were still in no hurry to "un-block the 2 ramps. But...... it was not busy then, so I was not delayed.

That person is one of those people with the me me me disease.

If someone would do that to them they would complain about it.

One time someone did this and I seen a guy that push that persons boat out of the way and launched his boat. Funny, when the guy came back from parking his truck and his boat was half way across the canal.
