Default Boat won't crank! G3 Talon, 90hp yamaha 2 stroke

My cousin's boat has been in garage for about 6 months. It's a G3 Talon 17' with 90hp Yamaha two-stroke (probably about a 2005 model).
He says battery is charged and when he turns key, it's firing but not cranking all the way up, almost like it's not getting enough fuel.

Battery is 100%, put new spark plug in, and has gas.
I think the fuel is bad (6 months+ and never uses additives) or he has water/crud in it.
Possibly kink in fuel line, but I believe it's got something to do with the fuel or fuel delivery system.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thank very much.

When you say not cranking all the way up, if it's not turning over as fast as it normally does, and your 100 pct. positive that battery is good, take the cables off battery and scrape, wire brush, clean, the posts and cables. You also need to drain the gas tank, do not take a chance on that gas!!!! If you have an in line water seperator filter - change it. When you squeeze the fuel line bulb does it pressure up, if not you could have a bad check valve in that bulb.

It's turning over, (as in it sounds like its trying to crank up) but won't fire up all the way.
I'll have him try the battery scrape.
Says when he squeezes bulb, it pressures up.
Not sure about the in line water separator, but will check.
I agree, need to drain that old fuel.
(sorry for bad explanations, i'm going off what he says on phone).

Many thanks.

Old gas is never good, especially without additives. Drain tank and refill with fresh, non ethanol gas and add fuel injector cleaner.

make sure your electrical connections are clean,

try again.

Motor cant run good on bad gas. Over time the octane of gas drops, more so in fuel with ethanol.

Take it to a Yamaha mechanic if it's fuel injected. If not rebuild the carbs first, then replace fuel pump and fuel line the ethanol has most likely rotted the rubber and gaskets.

Good one to check ... I have that same motor and have had the safety tab almost all the way out from behind the plunger not letting it start from accidently jerking on lanyard.
