I see about 50-100 every night fly over my house in river ridge, they roost on the river.
They have a bunch that roost in the zoo too. One time I was there in February and right at dark they were coming from everywhere.

I've never killed one. It's one of those birds I've always wanted. I'd say to mount it.

We shot a small group out of one of my blinds in the first split...yours is definitely better looking than the ones we shot. These were just a little darker head/neck area.

I killed one like that this year, lots of them before the season.
They are ugly, pretty. Unique for sure and good to eat.

I hunted at a duck camp last week, that has every species of duck and goose common to this area mounted on the ceiling in a flying pose, pretty impressive. Even some uncommon ones like buffleheads and goldeneyes.
