FlagUS Dularge Trout Slam-a-Rama!!

6/12/16...The trout fishing was on fire as Capt Brady had Jerald Jernagin and his crew come in to the 'Lakehouse' for a 3 day adventure on the DU. They had seen Capt Brady on cable tv with Louisiana Outdoor Adventures with Kevin Ford and booked a trip. The guys were from South Carolina and they really enjoyed catching so many fish in south Louisiana. Capt Tommy Pellegrin and I helped out with the crew and really enjoyed fishing with these guys. Capt Tommy brought live shrimp over from Cocodrie because of a finicky bite on plastic and what a difference it made as we combined for over 240 fish the first day. Although we mostly fish plastic 80 % of the time we were grateful for the shrimp as the fish ate them up like no tomorrow. All 3 boats finished up shortly before noon and what a great morning of 'catching' it was with non stop action. Over the years I've noticed on certain moon phases and days with hardly any tide movement the bite falls off on plastic where live bait can make a huge difference. When this happens buying live bait can make the difference between a good and bad trip. During these 'slumps' it would be wise to get live bait if available if the customer wishes to spend a little more money for insurance. After their first day of fishing this crew was sold on Dularge! Big thanks to Capt Brady for setting up the trip !! Good luck fishing.Capt Bill Lake 985-637-3712 www.captlake.com - See more at: http://www.louisianasportsman.com/lp....UdL13vGm.dpuf
