Top of the afternoon to everyone....

It has been a while since I shared some stories and pictures with yall as I have been very busy this year chasing black bears as you can see by the pictures above. We had a great black bear season and the following is a few pics reaping the rewards of all the hard work. The black bears were big this year with a 330 lb field dressed sow, a 347 lb field dressed boar, and the biggest of all was a 432 lb live weight boar. I had a guy from Ohio, New York, and Massachusetts.

I hope you enjoy the pictures...

No do-nuts....since you are so far away I can tell you my secret is bread and cow molasses. They go crazy over it and it's easy to come by.

Bear is absolutely, by far, the best game to eat if prepared properly. The trick is to get the bear caped as soon as possible, get as much fat off it as soon as possible, get it to a good butcher, and last but not least, ensure all fat is scraped off the meat prior to cooking. It is absolutely amazing.

Oh you are so close, it is a bagel which are mixed in with the bread I get, I should have elaborated on the bread as sometimes they mix in do-nuts, cake, bagels, garlic loaves, etc. but the molasses is the always the topper which works amazing for these bears.

Cheers 2013 Black Bears

Wow, I didn't realize it has been a year since I last logged into Salty. Time sure flies by...Not sure what happened in the new year as I was really enjoying talking to everyone. We had a great bear season as everyone shot a bear and had lots of fun. Check out my web site, www.blackbearoutfitters.ca for lots of pics of black bears, testimonials from all the hunters, pics of my camp, and all the info you need for a Canadian Black Bear hunt....Here are a couple pics from this year. Cheers and safe hunting everyone.

Default Only 2 spots left

Wow, I am getting booked up pretty quick. I only guide 5 people over a 2 week period. 2 guests the first week and 3 guests the second week. The 2 spots available are from September 14th-19th, 2014...Sunday to Friday. If any of ya have never experienced a Canadian Black Bear hunt then grab a family member or friend and book now before the 2 spots get filled up. There are lots of pictures of my camp, testimonials/references, lots of pictures of bears, frequently asked questions, links to rules/regulations, and much more. Since I started guiding in 2011, 100% of all my guests have had bear sightings and have agreed to be used as a reference. Check out their comments on my web site at www.blackbearoutfitters.ca Cheers and safe hunting everyone
