Default Mount worthy?

Killed him today. I got one mounted already but been wanting to start a stringer mount. All drakes..... Pin, mallard, mottle, widgeon, grey....

Just seeing what y'all thinkImageUploadedByTapatalk1388287170.407981.jpg

I got some more pics on my digital cam... This may not give a good idea of size. Bright Orange feet like he was a new bird(no mud from rice field) and three curls and great plumage. Don't know if he is bigger than the one on my wall but I'll c tom maybe

So you can really tell its a "new" bird by the color of the feet?

That's just personal thoughts. No proof. Just think if it had been in muddy rice fields awhile it would have muddy feet. They almost looked fake they were so orange.

Feet change color secondary to hormone changes in breeding season. Has absolutely nothing to do w new birds. Hope this helps. We are seeing birds paired already and lots of courting flights( a bunch of drakes and one hen)

Cool... Thx. That's how I thought to judge it bc of long flight down and hadn't gotten dirty yet. Thanks man... Learn something new everyday

Purple feet means they've been in the desert.
