Killed 9 in Pecan Island on FRI and the other blind had 2. Did not hunt my rice field lease in Kaplan today since it sucks the day after a front when it is a blue bird day & a North wind. However, my father in law went back to PI with his bud this morning and they hunted 2 blinds with 2 hunters in each.....1 blind had 5 the other had 1 very bad hunt by PI standards. This lease my father in laws buddy has is like this....if they are not killing on one else is. I am gonna hit my lease in Kaplan tomorrow since it will be an East wind blowing. I guess there is too much water...

Got another invite to Pecan Island with my father in laws buddy late last night.....The blind I was in (2 of us) 2 drake pintails and 1 teal. The other blind (2) had a lot better hunt than us....2 mottle ducks, 2 drake pintails, 5 greys. Saw a lot of pintail. If not for the 1 per person limit for Pintail, we could of killed 8-10 of them. Time for the 1st split to end......

My uncle and one of his buds hunted our lease in Kaplan.....3 Specs and 2 teal.

Grand Chenier report; Sat, 1 mallard hen, Sunday; hunted the grass and killed 1 pintail hen, 2 mottles, 1 grey, and 14 blue wing teal. We are still holding 4-5 thousand ducks but the high water has them bunched up in the grass. It is very difficult to sit and watch hundreds of teal, pintail, mottle, and mallards land a hundred yards from your set. I hope they get comfortable and decide to stay put for 2 weeks.

Johnson's Bayou report; no ducks

Pecan Island report; limits on old lease are becoming harder and harder to come by. Teal are the primary duck and greys following closely.
