O2 tanks are pretty cheap to refill at welding supply shops.

Chronic suffocation (low oxygen, hypoxia) is THE # 1 LIVE BAIT KILLER in livewells and bait tanks every summer; this summer, last summer and the predictable for the next 5-10 summers. You can bet your first born on it.

If live bait need more O2, then why not give them more O2, that's a no brainer. But most fishermen give their dying bait more air or more water with bigger pumps, but clever aeration modifications never work very well in the summer as hard as people try, they keep making these same mistakes.

There is a guy (Fred Lewis) in Venice that rents rooms to fishermen. He uses the Oxygen Edge systems and claims it's the best on the market. He wouldn't use live bait with out it. I think he may sell them through a marina there in Venice. If he doesn't sell them he can get them for you. This is not repackaged medical equipment like a lot of people sell in Texas, this is high quality commercial grade stuff. Don't remember which marina, I think there are only 2 there.

He does talk about safety a lot. I had no idea there was so much to oxygen system safety on boats.
