Alpha, you quoted the Butte la Rose gauge which currently has little to do with Henderson. The Lake Pelba gauge (near I-10) is at 16.7' and steady. The current through henderson from the Bayou Courtableau control structure is rapid, making the water muddy.

What Cajun said. I went Friday and the dirty water was coming in from the north.

We went Sunday to run the boat and dropped a line in a few spots. Nothing biting and the water was really high. Beautiful day to get out, though.
