Default Southern End of Toledo Bend near the damn

Went up to Toledo Bend today on the southern end near the damn...

Lots of tourney fisherman prefishing and catching bass in 8-25' on watermelon red creature baits and California 420...I am colorblind and that just looks like
old motor oil color to me...

I only managed 5 small bass, and 16 bream/chinquapin... enough to eat anyway!!

sorry no pics, I rolled my kayak a while back and lost my camera.

Yep, I was there Wednesday through yesterday morning and a big high pressure almost completely shut down the bass bite. The few caught were on watermelon red, but all were wacky style rigged. I did catch two keepers on white spinners, but that was a lot of work for those two.
