probly fixing to head over to chalmette for a job for awhile. don't know if i will bring my boat yet but i will probly bring my kayak. anyway i don't know any of the place around there to fish anyone have any good places to fish. don't even know what my schedule will be but hopefully i will have a little time to fish.....also is the oil in these areas yet. i might not even be able to fish

Fishing is closed in Chalmette. Anything east of the river is closed for fishing.

I thought it was closed only up to the rock dam in mr go?
Just looked at the latest map and it is closed to the south end of lake bourgne
how far a paddle if ya put in at campos to the south end of the lake???

lake ponch is still open and you'll only be 20 minutes or so from there.

paris road and the pen has some good marsh around there

ill show you some places on the map if we go fishing this week

Yea, go to the launch right in chalmette. U can paddle to the pen or bayou bienvinue. Lots of marsh and bayous.
Also if it's calm try and get n the intercostal and hit the bayous and canals n there.

There is a place there called Todays Ketch that has the best stuffed artichokes you can get. I usually run a tab when I go there finishing up with a bunch of #1 crabs.

i think that is the place right by murphy if it is that place is grubbin. i normally go to it when i get off work. there softshell crab is awesome.


not going now they found someone else guess ill just have to stay around here and put fences up for a while
