The Edge Pro Stabilizer
 

Need some advice, I'm thinking about installing The Edge Stabilizer on my outboard. I have Skeeter ZX 20 Bay w/150 4 stroke Yamaha and I was told that The Edge will help me get on plane faster and stay on plane at lower RPM. It is a lot cheaper than trim tabs (around $110.oo). Just don't know if it will void the warranty on my 2009 motor? Should I or not? Anyone have The Edge or a type of foil on their outboard or is it best to just cut loose the extra money for Tabs?

what will they make my boat do different

everything lol. plane quicker, get up in shallower water, ride better in big chop, distribute weight evenly. i know someone with a 20 bay and rode in it before and after the tabs and its a completely diff boat. putting tabs on any boat makes it a better ride.

night and day difference, the main thing for me is being able to bury the bow into the chop and cut out most if not all of the pounding and vibration...

i would even go so far as to say that in the long run they will keep a boat in better condition if used correctly

I think ChrisR on this forum is in the same process right now also, with the same hull/engine

thanks for the info. i did not want to drill any holes on my motor anyway.let me pass this info to my wife and see if she can get my sons involved. i might even help them out with some money

if you can wait you can get the lencos online for a lot cheaper than at your local chop i mean boat shop

how do you figure out which size is right for your boat

lenco has a size guide or when you look at them online it usually says in the description for boats 17-20 20-30 30-40. for a 20bay the 6x9's should be plenty

Call the boat company and ask. Lots of time Lenco will have a special tab for that boat.

i agree, my PUREBAY is a very light boat, most of the weight is in the back of the boat. espec with the big 225 on the back and when i fill the livewell. i rode in an identical boat to mine but with tabs....wow!! huge help!! bn able to put the bow down and let the nose crush thru the chop was nice. that carolina flare really helps too!
its a toss up between the powerpole and the trim tabs right now.
tabs will run me 950 installed
powerpole will set me back 1800 installed

what yall think i should do first???

Trim tabs are needed.

Power pole is a luxury.

put the tabs in yourself and save about 300 bucks
