Too many cancelled trips.......... but it does give me the opportunity to spend time with my son Dr. Brad Lake who took time off from work in St Louis to come fishing. We hit the marsh the past 2 days busting up the reds at every location we fished. The reds are everywhere and the high water makes it easier to get to them. LSU chubs and spinner baits have been working well. No oil anywhere in the area we fish and our fishing couldn't be any better. Figured Brad to be a little rusty but he gave the old man all he could handle as I nudged him out in the end. Brads buddy Keith Hatch joined us to witness the event. Everybody caught their share of reds with 25 fish caught in about 2 hours. Kept our 15 and the fish fry was great! Good luck fishing.
