Big Lake Trip Cancelled Cause of MOMMY
 

Was headed out this morning to fish Big Lake this afternoon. Got a text message when I was about half way there (keep in mind I live in Houston)from Josh that read "you left your house yet?" to which i responded - "yes i am almost there".

Phone then rang and it was Josh and this is what I heard next "Sorry man, I can't go fishing. My MOM just called and said I cant go." :shaking: I could understand if it was your wife telling you not to go, but your mom? Hell my mom even thought that this was funny.:work:

Quite possibly have an extra seat in my boat for the trout shootout depending on what josh's mommy says...

It's ok Josh, I'm 52 years old and you can bet if my mommy calls I'm dropping everything and on my way.

Bad weather hit Big Lake yesterday afternoon, and some really bad weather hit Lake Charles today. Don't know if it hit Big Lake or not.
This evening prolly ain't a good day anyway.

It did. Got off the lake about 2 and the weather was coming in.

Valid excuses = sick kid, anniversary, truck broke, etc.

Invalid excuse = my mommy called and said I can't go. I would expect that from Huntin Fool, but not a 6'2" grown man.

was at the inlaws camp on mosslake...you did not miss anything but the craziest wind I've seen in awhile...nasty stuff.
