The Violence Policy Center concluded that Louisiana is among states with "lax gun laws," meaning states that add little or nothing to federal firearm restrictions, and that permit open or concealed carrying of guns in public.

Louisiana and Mississippi require no permit for the purchase of handguns or rifles, according to a synopsis by the National Rifle Association, which rejects the notion that stricter gun laws reduce violence crime.

Yeah, I forgot that you can buy fully automatic guns without a permit!

What a joke! Take our guns away as law-abiding citizens and the criminals will still have theirs! If they think crime rates are high now, imagine what they'd be when the criminal was the only one left with a gun!

The world is full of crazy people, as long as humans have working thumbs we will find a way to kill each other. More or less guns has nothing to do with people killing each other.

Here are two stories I found very quickly about people killing people without the use of guns in countries where the citizens are not allow to own guns. I guess they better get some better regulations on knives.

All of em, they wouldn't be able to if they didn't. Thats why we need these laws

Check out the crime statistics of Montana,Wyoming, Idaho, Utah. The one thing they all have in common is......................very few Silverbacks.:work:

I have a co-worker that lives in Montana. The whole state has like 600,000 people.

If they separate La. from NOLA, La. would probably rate a lot lower.
Baton Rouge is making it's way to the top also, but I think it is a lot of NOLA transplants.

You are correct, most of the murders take place in about 3 zip codes in Baton Rouge.

To compare them to silverbacks is an insult to silverbacks. Silverbacks have much higher IQ's.
