shrimp...in a quart
Someone asked how many shrimp were in a quart...
Well I was board this morning and counted a 2 quart while eating breakfast... Counted 79 and 87 ..... |
man, I wish they sold em by the quart around where I fish. a 100 shrimp for us is usually $25. sometimes around 20. but at $15 for 80, you cant beat that, but they also got you over a barrel too cuz at 80 it kinda puts you in a median zone of not having enough or having too many depending on the amount of people fishing. so I may come out better overall buying per shrimp
|
BTW thanks for spending the time to count

FYI.......some places will sell 1/2 quart at a time. |
thanks for the count! i always wonder how many it is when i get them for the rigs. i always end up running out.
|
the charter guy I go with, counts on 50 shrimp per person and we fish from daylight until around 1
|
I have no clue about shrimp size... Guy said you can get up to a 100 in a quart...depends on shrimp size...these here are mixed size....
The don't sell half a quart here |

I hear they sell them by the pint and quart size here, quantity per unit is based on the size of the shrimps. Sometimes a quart has 12 schwimps. |
Ok he said if you count 10quats you will have a 85 avg shrimp count
He only sells 55-70 count shrimp |

W, the last video ya sent out was insane! by the way, what the F are ya doing buying shrimp? Live Bait for W. You guys must have oil in big lake, oops, Lake Pickle.
|
Look at it this way . . . 80 shrimp . . . trout limit is 10/person . . .how many people fishing? Do the math . . .even if hardheads eat half, you just got to adjust! . . . I usually get 2 quarts . . .
|
"W", you got a problem with "pint size" bait? . . . lol
|
When I buy a quart of shrimp it usually takes me a while to go through them myself. I would say there are about 50-70 shrimp/qt. avg. depending on the size of them. Large count = less shrimp; small count = more shrimp. If I'm fishing w/ someone else, we'll buy more.
Hopefully that clears it up. LOL... |
