New BlackJack
I want a new BlackJack and I am about ready to order one. What suggestions on which Yamaha to put on it? Also, does anyone know if Dawson Marine in Beaumont handles BlackJacks?

the new F300 is 50 lbs lighter than the current F250 I think
looks MASSIVE |
not to highjack the thread, but I was looking at specs online of new VSHO and weight was the same on the 200, 225, & 250?? That can't be right can it?? Said they all weighed 505 lbs.

If it is the same weight it would make it very easy wouldn't it?

exact same motor for all three just different computers. if you know someone you can get a yamaha rep to program your 200 to a 250 and the insurance doesnt know the difference because the serial numbers say 200. |
George at metro boating has a 300 verado on his i taklked to bill kenner at the nola boat show and he said thatt they dont put thats its approved for a 3000 on the hull but he approved it i dont know if this is on a boat by boat basis though

Is there any concern that the SHO with the 20 inch shaft might be a little short? Also, do you think that boat needs the 36v trolling motor or is the 24 big enough?
|
Gotta get the jack plate with the Sho's short shaft.... 24v trolling motor should be fine.

Thanks for the reply cmdrost. I know Bruce Baugh has it on his and I am waiting to hear from him on how much he has to manipulate it on any given trip.

I got my frontier from Dawson in Beaumont.....great customer service!!
They giving you a good deal on the blackjack? I'd love to upgrade. |
George at Metro does a ton of business with K2 Marine and runs the BJ as a personal boat. He is a straight shooter and will tell you what his experience has been +/- with different power. Last I saw he had a 300Vrat on a Black/Grey BJ that was 'correct'.
