If that was my dog the deer would have been dinner, I hope they would rule on my side since a dog is a part of the family.

LOL thats awesome. This past season I saw something like this first hand when I was in the stand. A little spike kept following around a doe and a yearling. And the doe kept playing the chase away game and he would make a loop and come right back and try to get friendly. Finally that doe reared up on her back legs and commenced to wooping the mess outta that spike with them front hoofs. I was laughing my butt off. They was only 25 yards from me. It looked like an episode of cops with domestic violence. She jumped on him and beat the crap out of him. he was bobbin, weavin, and scootin the heck outta there.

LMAO! that sucks! When I was about 10 years old I was deer hunting with my dad and it was middle of the rut. We had rubs and scrapes all around the stand we were hunting. A yearling(no spots) steps out and of course I'm on my knees begging my dad to let me shoot it. I wanted to shoot everything that moved back then. Finally my dad gives in. We were in the middle of a cutover though, so my dad told me to shoot it in the head so we didnt have to trail it. I shoot and it drops. My dad sends me over to check it out and make sure it wasnt a button buck b/c we couldnt shoot those in our club. I walk over to it and get about 10 feet from it and it jumps to its feet and is just staring at me. I hit it in the muzzle and blew off its face. I know! terrible! Well my dad tells me to cut its throat. Im 10 y/o, how sharp do u think my knife is? So of course I couldnt cut it. My dad comes over and starts trying with his knife. The deer was young and had a lot of excess skin he couldnt cut through. SO he got mad and just stabbed it in the neck. When he did that, it kicked him right in his hand and split his hand wide open. That was the last time I tried to slit a deer's throat!

lol I had to kick one this past season to get it to the ground. One of the members granddaughters shot a lil fawn and barely grazed the stomach so all of the guts were hanging out. Me and my uncle got up to it and it got up and started walking away from us, everytime I would get close it would kick back towards me. My uncle was killing himself laughing watching me try to get this little fawn down to the ground. I didn't wanna just tackle it cuz then I woulda been full of guts. Finally I just decided to kick it as hard as I could, so I kicked it soccer style right in the azz, it did a complete 180 and landed on it's stomach facing me. Then I was able to sit on it and cut its throat. We laugh about that night pretty often, I ended up having to cut another deers throat about 40 minutes later.
