This alligator was on the road past T-Mae’s and was 11’4” in length.

Yeah, I'm not sure why they would tape up a dead aligator's mouth...or put a tracking tag on him...:*****:

Yes they sometimes tag em by just cutting notches in the tail. Each notch is a letter or a number. I helped tag em @ before its a good time; catch and release.

That is correct. When they release farm raised gators, they tag the webbing between the toes and cut out a scoot off the tail. If the tags fall off, they still know when the gator was tagged by the missing scoot.
The missing scoot usually tells year it was tagged.
