i think chas @ dockside bait has one looks like a nice boat , call up there and ask him what he thinks of them that would be your best bet!

CatDaddy 07-06-2010 03:52 PM

Since the boat is a 16' SKIFF and based on the spec sheet, I would say it is a 50HP.....Usually with a Skiff you can get by with a less HP motor than a standard fiberglass boat from what I have seen.

I hate to bust your bubble, but if you plan on using it in sw DO NOT buy a honda. They are known for corrosion problems causing overheats and premature breakdown.

whunter29 07-06-2010 05:46 PM

Hey I have a Honda 50 and I have never had any corrosion problems with it. Mine is a 2006 and yes it has been used in saltwater alot.

flyphisher 07-06-2010 05:53 PM

$17,250.00???? That sounds like a lot of money for a little boat based on the pic on their website!!!

Dink 07-06-2010 06:54 PM

I'd agree.......ill sell you my boat for 17,250!!!!!

Ray 07-06-2010 07:05 PM

USCG uses Honda's on most of their boats at Lake Charles.
They do pull them every day and do maint. on them.

B-Stealth 07-06-2010 08:21 PM

Hey Cat check this boat out, its prob more seaworthy but not as wide. Simple no thrills fishing boat, and a Tiller handle 50 Zuki will do about 36 mph.
