I heard the water was really high - like over the parking lot at 2-10. Is that still true? Wonder if that will help or hurt the fishing? Might push them north.

Micah 07-08-2010 06:10 PM

When I passes yesterday the water was on the parking lot but I've seen it that high several times.....never hurt the fishing.

Micah 07-08-2010 06:12 PM

*passed*.......dang phone types what it wants to.

Water has been high for the past 2 weeks.
My wife said it is about 2 ft. higher than normal in Contraband Bayou.

Green Water????? Thinking about taking my oldest son out fishing tomorrow as long as the wind cooperates. Anyone else going to be fishing?

Gerald 07-08-2010 06:51 PM

I passed the boat launch in Moss Bluff and the water was only a few inches from touching the pier there. This is almost 2 feet above normal.

wish our water was green.we are still getting rained on.

Raymond 07-08-2010 08:59 PM

Water was in the east end of the parking lot and it was smoove like
Brittney Spears.

LaAngler 07-09-2010 12:47 PM

anybody know what the water looks like down on the coast?

Gerald 07-09-2010 01:12 PM

The pictures shown on the news last night were not good......water was brown and kind of ruff waves..

But you never know when "exactly" the pictures were filmed....but probably resent.

Winds have been fairly calm the past 12 hours, so beach could clear up. At daylight this morning was dead calm.....which I was out on the water.

Micah 07-09-2010 06:35 PM

Hey Bruce, just got word the water looks good around the jetties.

Ray 07-09-2010 06:38 PM

My sister said the water was high next to Cameron Ferry #2, but it is very pretty.
