We went this morning. Started @ 9 mile but the water was muddy. Headed south after that and caught 3 reds and 2 specks. It wasn't bad but wasn't great either. I do know any day on the water is better than a day in the office!

Were there a lot of boats on the lake today?

yak'em-n-stack'em 07-10-2010 04:34 PM

i took the morning off

had some family come in.

plus there are only 2 places left over here that i can fish

i could go to big lake,

but i was told if i went there that all of the locals would make sure i dont leave the same way :(

Mermentau River

Made a trip to the Mermentau River this morning in the bay boat for Redfish with a friend and his dad that had never fished in Louisiana before. Hoping to catch some redfish. Fished from Little Pecan all the way to the first set of platforms offshore and could not get the fish to bite, even on live bait. Water was dirty in most of the river but clean offshore. Friends dad had a great time seeing the sites down here.
Gonna put the yak in the basin tomorrow for some bass fishing.

yak'em-n-stack'em 07-10-2010 04:43 PM

im gonna drop the yak in at da butte one day this week too i hope

was that you who posted that report last week?
