Should have had it in Grande Isle or somewhere in La. Screw Orange Beach!!! We are the ones being held to the fire for the spill.

used to like Jimmy until I found out he's an Obama supporter and blames Bush for the oil spill lol...

I like his music but not his politics....needless to say the entire gulf coast needs a boost and agreed Grand Isle needs more help/attention first and foremost above the entire affected areas.

Sorry to stir the the raw feelings on here...thought the song was pretty cool though!

By the way, Buffet had the concert in OB because his sister who owns a business in OB ask him to.

Thanks for the update Jimmy
Buffet has always been on the Leftside, listen to his music but will not pay him for it anymore. Most on this site are center or Right of center like myself and have come to Despise Socialist/Communist like the ones in Congress/White House.

Regards

Nothing against buffet helping his sister and the alabama coast.
This is what chaps my arse!

BP may fund more beach shows for Alabama after Buffett (WAFB Baton Rouge)

Always loved JB.....his current views shouldn't really come as a shocker considering he's been living the life of the rich and famous like all other Hollywood leftists....the entertainment industry has never had a very vocal conservative come out of it.

regardless, it was a great show and a good thing he did to try to boost the Gulf Coast. We had some friends there and we thought about going but bailed last minute. Sounded like a fun night!

JJAM - You find me a job in P-cola yet? ;)

How much of that money do you think will make it to Louisiana? What about the hotel room that people booked to go to the show? Could have helped a local Louisiana economy that is suffering from the spill.(Venice, Grande Isle etc) Screw Buffett and anyone left. I'm left handed and am trying to learn to use my right one for everything. Don't want to depend on the left.

Ronald Reagan? ;)

Actually, there are quite a few these days. It just gets you blacklisted in Hollywood if you are a vocal conservative, but there are a few that I can think of off the top of my head, including Gary Sinese, Sylvester Stallone, Kelsey Grammar, Tom Selleck, Dennis Miller, Kut Russell, Ben Stein, Stephen Baldwin, Drew Carey, Clint Eastwood, Mel Gibson, Dennis Hopper, Patricia Heaton, etc. Can't think of others right now, but I heard quite a few Hollywood celebs step up during the 2008 elections supporting McCain over Obama.

Oh, and Arnold Schwartzeneger and Lou Farigno. :)

cmdrost 07-13-2010 09:34 AM

Yeah but they are not vocal like their leftist counterparts

ShadMan 07-13-2010 10:12 AM

I'd say Gary Sinise and Ben Stein are as vocal as Susan Sarandon and Alec Baldwin. It's nice that mors Hollywood celebs are stepping up on the right to balance the garbage spewing from the left.

That dude is toxic right now. I met Tom Selleck in LA at our fraternity fundraiser. He is a super nice guy. Being a conservative in Hollywood you have to live in the closet. It is strange because liberal like to attack conservatives about just caring for the rich, so you would think these hollywierd types would be conservative.

cmdrost 07-13-2010 10:35 AM

true leftist consider themselves the elite of the elite.....aka..."hollywierd"

Don't forget Bill Cosby. I loved the speech he gave a couple of years ago blasting a certain 'segment' of society for always standing there with their hands out to the government. His idea is that the more people depend on entitlements/welfare, the more they enslave theirselves to the government. He was also very critical of these 'deadbeat' dads that go around having babies and not hanging around to raise them. He has the nads to stand up against the Hollywood mentality...
