Holly Beach Fishing

I am off tomorrow and was thinking about taking the family down to Holly Beach just to mess around. I'd like to fish, can I catch trout in the surf on sand eels and such? What about bull reds? I thought about taking my cast net and catching some bait for some reds...will that work? Any particular area down there I should try? I have never fished there so any help is appreciated.
