GPS help

I need to know if anyone knows how to take info from a Lowrance LCX113CHD and put it on a Garmin 4212 without having to enter every location manually.

No you can't just puit it on a card and then into the other unit.

Can you plug the units into your computer? If so, you can find the folders that contain your GPS coordinates and copy them over to the folders they should be in on the new unit.

any pics of the new rig yet?

lavocat 07-23-2010 06:39 AM

New rig has not come in yet. It appears that Yamaha did not ship the motor when they were supposed to. This GPS question is for a friend and it appears that the info you collect from the Lowrance onto the computer is not compatible with the Garmin.

You can use http://www.easygps.com/ to convert from lowrance to garmin...just load lowrance info into easygps then save using garmin format to SD disk and load.

According to Easy GPS, it does not support Garmin 4212. Any other info out there about programs that will take data saved in Lowrance LCX 113CHD format and convert to Garmni GPSMAP 4212 format would be appreciated.

What type of file does the Lowrance save the files as and what type of file does the Garmin need?
