This picture was taken by my ranch manager. It is a 9 pointer. What do you think he will score?

Just a guess.....not up on scoring.......maybe 150?

Let us know in a few months......after you measure him.

Who cares what he will score, he is going to be a beautiful mount! :D

Mid 140's

Nice deer, all of them.

10 point cull buck

1 Attachment(s)
finally, check out this nice 10 pointer. Rancher says he is a cull buck because his G-2s are shorter than his G-3s. I will take his word for it and cull him if he happens by my stand come November! ! !

H2OFwlKlr 08-23-2010 11:05 PM

Looks like that 10 has got some mass.

ScubaLatt 08-23-2010 11:08 PM

Great point. Should I let the 9 pt. walk until next year when he may have a bit more mass or should I take him down this year and hang him on the wall???

Anyone?

Take the 10, wait on the nine, he still looks young. JMO

What a difficult decision! ;)

Gerald 08-23-2010 11:40 PM

When looking at the 10 Pt.....not a great picture of the body, but could that Buck only be a 2.5 year old deer and have a rack like that?

Neck...not that big???

Back.....looks kind of flat.

Stomach......don't see any sagging.

FF_T_Warren 08-24-2010 01:07 AM

he will score you about 50 lbs of processed meat for the table. so go ahead and shoot him

I've tried to boil, smoke, bake and fry racks! I still haven't found a good way to eat em. I'm more of a meat guy myself...At least I was when I got to hunt. I'm not saying I'd let one of those big boys walk on through though to wait for a fuller body doe or four point!:*****:

That's some beauties they're growin over there!

jldsc 08-24-2010 08:05 AM

9-point 150 green, but he looks still young I bet hed get better mass next season, Id leave him and take the 10 cull buck...

BellPepperHead 08-24-2010 08:20 AM

They both look like young deer to me, I would take the cull ten and let the nine walk this season IMHO.

longsidelandry 08-24-2010 09:15 AM

Man I would shoot the 10pt and let that 9pt walk for another year.

meathauler 08-24-2010 09:42 AM

I'd shoot both of them. They may not be there next year or the lease might be gone. What part of TX is that?
