Afternoon Surf

Anybody ever fish the rocks on the beach in the afternoon and do any good?

I'll prolly go no matter what but wanted some feedback.

I asked Ray when we were fishing yesterday and he said it might not be a bad idea......anybody else?

to me they would hit. Hows the tide been in the morning or does it really matter when fishing the surf? The only time I've been there was about 10 years ago. I'd love to go back knowing what i know now.

me and a friend waded the rock breakers at holly beach 2 weeks back around 3 in the afternoon. I was fishing a xps jerkshad. Caught 3 reds off the edges where the water has presumable washed out the bottom. We went to the east and saw some clearer water with bait, he worked a black/char queen cocahoe and I threw a top dog. Caught 3 specks on top he caught 2 reeling the cocahoe real quick through the water. Lots of bait.

Any time of day is good. I have caught them at many different times and my best trip was in the middle of day.
