Water main blow out

Here are a few pics I took of a water main that a subcontractor accidentally hit while drilling a line to put cables underneath a road.
Prretty awesome... water was blowing approx 100ft
Them guys need :help: fast

We had to keep da kids back. It had a lot of force. It was about to knock over a mailbox and a street sign

Yeah, there was a natural gas pipe a few feet from that water pipe from what they told me. Big boom !!!

Just got back from the scene, it took out about 7' of sidewalk and 1 lane of the road. Mucho damage

I saw a goof ball in Exxon Refinery drive over a blown out water main & it picked up the back end of the truck:eek:

I saw one like that back home once. The bad part was that it was shooting straight up in the air...The part even worse than that is that it was turning to ice as soon as it landed!!! 10PM, 15deg and those poor souls had to go stand in thigh deep water trying to get it capped off!

that happened at my parents house on there corner right after Katrina but it sprayed under the street intersection but flooded the street. Funny part was when construction pulled up with f250 pulling trailer with tractor the street gave way and truck dropped! All you saw was tailgate! They came out so quick and had to use tractor to pull it out. Truck was brand new!

Man it was hilarious! That was the fastest I have ever seen city workers move! You heard a pop and the truck dropped.
