why is every structure in the gulf an oil rig to the news media
 

This really chaps my *** . I guess they aren't smart enough to know that rigs drill wells and platforms produce wells. I also think they all like giving no bama more ammuniton to screw us over.

I am on a production platform with a big azzed rig sitting on top. But the pictures of that platform showed no rig on it.
Any fire or explosion on an offshore vessel or structure is not good. Most are usually preventable.

New Orleans tv station did a story from the bullwinkle, reporter was on helodeck and calling the derick?? No different than reporters calling all guns assault weapons!

With the eyes and ears all along the Gulf coast right now, if anyone so much as hiccups out there, it's going to make national headlines. Can you imagine how many people are out there listeneing to the Coast Guard and such with scanners just waiting for something like this to happen.
