Idaho

Spent the first day in Idaho.

I actually like this place. Temp got up to 83 today with a 25 percent humidity. Currently it's 51 with 20 percent. Suppose to get down into the upper thirties tonight.

They have wildlife everywhere. And the fishing is suppose to be intense.

Driving to the research farm we passed thousands of acres of farmland.

The amount of water coming out of irrigation systems is crazy

Yeah it's a cool place until winter.......Then it becomes a REAL COOL PLACE! Nothing for temps in the negative with 20 to 30 mph winds. BRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!! Snow is cool for a day or 2, but for several months ain't worth a ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was in North Dakota for a month, 5's to -5's for the freaking highs for over a week!:shaking::help:

Never thought I would ever run the heater in September

Where you at in Idaho? My mom lives up in the panhandle an hour east of Spokane, WA.

yak'em-n-stack'em 09-03-2010 10:56 PM

im in the southeast tonight,

going up to the northwest tomorrow for the weekend to fly fish

suppose to hit the upper 30s tonight

im thinking about moving up here for a few years in a few years.

the hunting is rediculous,

ducks, geese, pheasant, dove, quail, deer, mule deer, antelope, moose, caribou, elk, big horn sheep.

all on Bureau of land management lands

so all you have to do is get a permit to hunt them

southern151 09-04-2010 08:52 AM

Yeah, my mom lives on a multi-thousand acre ranch in the northern mountains. The bear, cats and elk are everywhere up there! Sadly, although I carry partial residency up there(no out-of-state license required), I've never gone to hunt up there. Every year during season, I'm on a turnaround somewhere and I miss out. I keep saying someday, I'm gonna make the trip...

It's a beautiful site to see where my mom's at! She takes a boat to town most of the time. Unreal!

High today 83

High tomorrow 58

My wife and I talked about moving north a couple of times. If I said lets sell the house and go tomorrow she would be packing! I just cant move away from the saltwater and marsh. I would go nuts!

Raymond 09-04-2010 05:49 PM

I Da Hoe is really WHITE which is a plus. If you move better take some $$$ cause there ain't much to be made there.

specktator 09-04-2010 06:13 PM

I'm going mule deer/antelope hunting in Wyoming at the end of this month. Can't wait!

yak'em-n-stack'em 09-06-2010 05:11 PM

saw at least 500 antelope and 200 mule deer, and over 300 elk this weekend.

yes it is great being so white.

since i left salt lake city i have seen 2 blacks.

there are a lot of mexicans around the farms, but they ALL SPEAK ENGLISH,

its great

and mexican coca-cola in the half liter glass bottles is great.

there is quite a bit of money to be made in agriculture up here.

hopefully in a year or two yalls "president" will be out of office, or almost out and the economy will pick up lifting hiring freezes on govt jobs
