Construction and LNG work coming up

Cheniere LNG expects a fast track through the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) permit process as a result of the overwhelmingly positive comments received at its open house last Thursday in Johnson Bayou. The company had applied for a permit to expand its Sabine Pass LNG gasification facility to include a liquefaction plant for export purposes. With FERC planning to skip the usual scoping meetings, based on the positive comments, the proposed expansion could begin as soon as next year. The project would employ from 1800 to a maximum of 3000 workers over its five year construction term, and create 150-250 long-term skilled technical jobs. The plant will have the capacity to liquefy 2 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day (2 Bcf/d) when all four trains are complete. Most of the gas is expected to come from development of extensive US shale gas deposits. Those interested in employment with Becon, Cheniere's Engineering Construction Company, may visit www.beconconstruction. com. Those interested in permanent employment with Cheniere following completion of the Liquefaction Project may email resumes to:
