SMF S.La. Gathering
 

Y'all missed some of the best food around.
Fri night i cooked a chicken ,sausage ,shrimp and okra gumbo . potato salad and sausage poboys. blueberry / peach cobbler.
Sat, we had some home made bacon fresh out the smokehouse w/ grits eggs , home made sausage and homemade cinnamon rolls
sat , had abts and other stuff to snack on. Sat . supper . 2 briskets 2 pork butts ,8 lb smoked prime rib w/ 6 different sides. Bread pudding made w/ the left over cinnamon rolls.
Sun am was another great breakfast.
Lots to eat and drink a good sat night foot ball game (except for the lone Fla, fan who came up to visit).
All and all not a bad time for our first La. gathering . Hopefully next year we will get some more folks to attend.

Oh hell yea!!!
Wife informed me that i NEED to buy a lang 120R trailer smoker.
think i'll buy the Bubba instead. same size ,Just some better features. Plus if i go pick it up in Nov . i can spend the weekend cooking at a comp. in waycross Ga. w/ the bubba team.

Its a good starter.... im looking into getting into smoking myself... might try some of it after the 1st of the year
