F150 ecoboost?

anyone driven one yet? 11,300 towing capacity, 420 lbs of torque

I think this is the first HPDI truck engine, pretty impressive for a V6.
I see the 302 is now listed as a 360 HP option also, was hoping to see 4+ out of this one.

Can't see where a 6 will last 150,000 miles in a real world situation. Chev's 5.3 doesn't have enough torque to get out of it's way.

I've got a 4.3 v6 in a ext cab 1500. I'll turn over 160k in it tomorrow and I've abused the heck outa that truck as far as use goes. I've always done the maintenance very consistently though! Would I own another one?...NO! Not nearly enough power for the things I like to do but it has survived with me since 05 and is paid for so, that mows it a little more enjoyable! Lol

The technology is the interesting part, twin turbo direct injected motors. On paper this 6 cylinder keeps up with Dodge's hemi. The 5.0 liter engine would crank out 500 HP with this set up.

I have a ford 4.2 v6 with 167k miles on it and its still getting me to work and the river every week and weekend!

Masseratti tried this setup 20 years ago with lack luster success. What do you think about the Aluminum Block Bruce? That motor has to get hot and I don't trust Aluminum in high heat holding up.
