Shallow Water Reds!
http://http://www.louisianasportsman...5001075307.jpgBest of both worlds 'DOWN IN DULARGE'! Trout or redfish? We have plenty of both for the taking whenever you want. Took a break from trout 'catching' and stalked the reds with the Pro-Drive with some exciting action. Lawrence Picone & Phil Davidson from the Lafayette area joined me today. The guys are involved with some kind of cook-off this weekend and redfish is their specialty. Reds were all around the boat this morning as we could get up in the ponds where they live. No place to hide from my 17 ft. Pro-Drive as we caught our 15 fish along with a handful of trout in less than 2 hours! LSU and the all new 'pink passion' chubs really fooled the reds. The reds tails were blue as I don't see that too often. Saw quite a few Grey ducks this morning with big flocks landing all around us. It was a beautiful morning to be in the marsh with great company & great fishing. Big thanks to Capt Gerald Ellender for helping out today with Jimmy Boudreaux and crew. They had a good day too with 60-70 fish, a nice box of trout and a few reds. Good luck on your next trip.
