Again......another wader post!

I need to throw some things to the wife so I can get to open some presents w/ the kids on X-mas.

I have been wearing stocking foot neoprene waders with tie up boots for years and love them. But my pair is torn up so I will be getting a pair of waders for Christmas. Just not sure what to go with since I want to do some wade fishing this winter/spring.

Do you guys on the lake like neoprene for wade fishing or do they make it difficult to walk for long periods of time? I love my neoprenes, but sitting in a duck blind isn't the same as walking a oyster reef!

I have the cabelas dry plus breathables...worked awesome but they don't last for poo

I tried wade fishing in neoprenes last year and thought the experience was terrible - walking through the mud and muck with limited range of motion. IMO the breathables are definitely the way to go!

i waded a few times at different locations with neoprenes and loved them..... i am going to get some breathables this winter though for fishing..

if you have the $$$$ get some sims!!!

put me in the minority that likes wading in neoprenes. But I don't wade until it gets cold anyway. I have a pair from Cabelas made for fishing. Don't use em in the duck blind! Got a diff pair for duck hunting.

It wasnt the waders fault.

I also use neoprene waders

I have a pair for wade fishing and for hunting. They wont last as long if you use them for both. IMO.

Have both now and prefer breathables to neo for fishing 10:1. Range of motion is soooo much better with breathables, you don't feel like you are draging Sulphite or Pookie around all day. Try the Mag 2 from Academy and I don't think you'll be unhappy. I would splurge and buy a pair of Simms wading boots though. Academy only has the cheap canvas boots and you they look like clown shoes. Gotta be pimpin at the landing.
