Today took a ride to Hopedale to battle against the wind, with southern151 in the SS Backbreaker, Had an interesting trip, I showed him some areas that he never fished and He showed me some areas I never fished, It was a cold, windy, hard to catch fish day, ended the day with 3 reds and two trout in the box. Now I hope the next time I have time to go fish isn't right after a cold front when the fish have the lock jaw!

Great day regardless! Hopefully the next time I go, the water doesn't resemble chocolate milk!

Good work on the reds today Tim!

LPfishnTIM 11-27-2010 09:10 PM

thanks, hopefully a cold front doesn't come threw the day before either!

Would love to but, that would make 3 weeks in a row out having fun and my wouldn't likely allow for that kind of good time! Lol!

Ahhh, marriage!...?

southern151 11-27-2010 10:14 PM

My wife that is. I know I typed it in the first one...

LPfishnTIM 11-28-2010 08:41 AM

hey southern151, I talked to the guys we saw out there at church this a.m. they limited out, 50 were caught before 7:30, we were late!!! Then they caught 25 more after they saw us. I don't know how late they stayed. but they were fishing before the sun came up.

Hopedale Hustler 11-28-2010 05:16 PM

There is a ton of trout stacked up out there right now .... If you can follow the bait n drift slow enough u can smoke em, try to find bait pushed up in the coves that is trapped we hit 1 spot last weekend n had 50 within a 50 yard area

Hopedale Hustler 11-28-2010 06:06 PM

Ya man I can tell y'all if y'all can get a day that it isn't blowin it's azz off in the next few and get into lake robin and pretty much hit all the little inlets and islands around it (mainly looking for birds) and you'll be back at the marina with a box before ya know it...

Hopedale Hustler 11-28-2010 06:08 PM

They stacked in the robin/tere aux beouf area right now

southern151 11-28-2010 08:01 PM

I've got a lot if learnin to do yet. Robin looked terrible in the actual lake. Caught both trout at the mouth and, in hindsight, we should have worked that area WAY more than we did!

Again, there's a lot of this saltwater I have yet to learn. It still beat being at work!

Tim is a great guy to have on the boat and really knows his stuff on those reds!
