Hit the lake with longcast at sunrise... it was pretty cold but the action was fast right away so it didnt affect me too much. We hit turners and there were birds covering the whole area. we decided to play catch and release as neither one of us need anymore fish in the freezer. We caught well over a two man limit with the avg fish at about 2lbs. I caught two of my best big lake trout at 4lbs each and Jason caught a few 3's. Jason ended up with a slam catching a 6" flounder and a rat red near the end of the day. we headed back to the dock at 11 cause the bite slowed down and i had to be back in Monroe tonight

well he called me the night before and i already had a few frothy libations in me, so i knew i would feel like crap at 5am.. that and i hate the cold. hopefully i can get in on the next trip! |
