Electric UTV's
 

Guys,
Im in the market for an electric cart for hunting purposes. I would like you guys take on them. The Pros and Cons. I have researched online several brands, including - Stealth, HuntVe, Polaris, Bad Boy Buggie, & Rough N Tough, but i would like actual users reviews rather than a sales guys pitch. Any info would be much appreciated.

the 4x4's are very heavy

The batteries are the only down fall, it cost a fortune to change them. At least on the bad boys.

you can always have extra gas, and if you run out in the middle of no where....easy fix. what do you do when your battery dies in the middle of no where....find an electrical outlet....I don't think it will be that convenient when hunting. just my honest opinion

A buddy on our lease has a Ruff N Tuff and he says, never again. I've also talked to other people since I was leaning that way myself, and they said if you are on a ranch in south TX, go for it, but other than that, get something gas operated.

15-25 miles per charge, better get a long xtesion cord!

they are good to make a morning hunt, charge then make a afternoon hunt. only really good for hard ground or something with a hard bottom ive gotten a bad boy stuck and in the process of getting it out it ran out of juice. but as long as you stay on good ground they are great. being quiet is never a bad thing.

For all purpose use a fossil fuel powered UTV is hard to beat.

a company I worked for had electric carts that were used to go from shop to shop in a plant we worked in, the electric carts didnt do the job, they would be charged over night and would be dead by lunch time after 3 days they were brought back and exchanged for gas carts.
