Black Bayou pontoon bridge closed
 

The Department of Transportation & Development tells 7News that the Black Bayou Pontoon Bridge north of Deatonville on LA 384, which is Big Lake Road, will be closed to vehicular traffic indefinitely for repairs.
The bridge was struck by a barge overnight. A damage assessment will be made Tuesday morning, and repairs will begin after that. The bridge will remain open to marine traffic only.
Motorist in the Deatonville and Big Pasture areas are advised to detour by way of the Grand Lake Pontoon Bridge and LA 385.
